Range Rover Sport - tracker?
Discussion
Hi
I'm thinking of getting a new RRS, my insurance company is saying as it will be over 75k that it will need a 24h tracker, meaning I will need one of those insanely irritating key fobs.
Does anyone know or have experience of insurers who do not require a tracker? I'm happy to have one that can locate the car if its been stolen but I just don't want a 24h one. I get calls off Cobra already from other cars.
Thanks

Not sure about other insures, but we use this company when someone asks us about trackers.
To my knowledge, they don't do 24 hour checks.

Sorry to be clear, I don't want a tracker at all ideally!
neither did i but it's a requirement for most insurance companies nowadays - the current generation cobratrak tracker that the LR dealer fitted to mine doesn't have one of those silly fobs thats supposed to be on your person, otherwise u get the call from cobratrak. this one only sets off an alert if the car is moved without it's key, or the car is taken with the key and the owner alerts cobratrak. thus it's no hassle at all. Cheers. That sounds ideal! I've spoken to the insurers and they will accept no tracker if its under 75k. My car is 76.5 so if I insure it for just under that its fine. Seems silly but they are happy and so am I. If it gets nicked I'm out of pocket 1500, seeing as in my experience they never pay out anyway, I'm not bothered about that.
Who do you insure with?
