Blocking off the heater matrix?

why would you want to do this?
I seem to be particularly sensitive to cabin temperature, my passengers don't, but i find myself warm in the car almost all the time. The A/C works, but the air distribution is poor, in the Winter i plan on installing centre air vents to help with this.Anyway, i don't plan to use the car in winter, and if i do, heating isn't an issue ( i'll just open the window
) so i want to disable the heater matrix to make sure there is no leak through the heater valve, and to remove the heating of two long pipes in the tunnel, in theory lowering cabin temps.I plan to do this with a simple loop of pipe from the heater manifold to the water pump (looking at the US Noble manual water diagram), but i just wanted to check this is correct.

Wanted to try to cool the cabin and have never been convinced that my heater valve fully shuts off, so when the car was at SWLC, got them to bypass. It was very easy apparently, only problem is my a/c compressor seal has blown. I find the heat soak from the turbo/engine is more than enough heating for me. StreetDragster said:
Hi all,
Sorry for the barrage of questions.
Can the heater/heater valve be bypassed from the engine bay and if so, how? I have an oil cooler fitted BTW.
Anyone know the internal diameter the heater valve piping etc?
Thanks
Matt
I take it you have done the tunnel mod already?Sorry for the barrage of questions.
