Thought I'd make the most of the sun, what a gorgeous evening to be out with the roof down!

Living in Yorkshire has some benefits smile

The bit north of Pateley Bridge was new to me, very scenic but too narrow for hooning.

Wish my gearbox was back in my TVR
I've been missing it for 3 weeks now frown

Some of my favourite countryside.

Go up to Scar House Reservoir sometime (if you haven't been before) - near Lofthouse
My Grandad lived and worked up there (while it was built)
and used to take me up there a lot as a kid and let me drive his Hillman Stilleto

I usually like coming back down through Coverdale for some even more impressive scenery
although as you say - most of the roads are not suitable for a hoon

Nice pics btw

Cheers
Trickie

Cheers for that. Just checking the map - is there a way to do a loop to Scar House then Coverdale as it looks like the roads (tracks!) don't meet up?

It's certainly an area I'd like to explore, I don't know it all.

No there isn't a loop over that way

I go over from Lofthouse to Masham as you do then head left towards Leyburn but turn off before Middleham
and head towards Coverham.

Once on that Coverdale road there is no where to turn off until you get to Kettlewell.

I am doing a TVR run out over there soon so may post on here if anyone wishes to join us

BTW - we have been doing quite a few joint events with NYLOC (North Yorks Lotus Owners Club) recently

Here is a pic of Coverdale

Mmmm... well Wednesdays are good for me at the moment, shall we see what the weather does?

I could be at either Pool/Otley for the Dales or Clifton Moor for the Moors by 6:30 at a push.

Left work at 7pm, home for 10pm yesterday.

Inspired by this thread I fixed my fuel gauge, and went for a run out last night at about 9pm.

Did the tunnels on the A58 from Elland road into Leeds.

No roof, just a t-shirt, in the dark, fairly quiet. Was good!

These are the kind of pictures and road trips you can only do here in the UK.

Glade - was that in the Westfield in your profile? Awesome!

Barry - yes it's nice to get away from the commute and remind yourself it's not all cameras and jams

Yes! Woke up at 0615 this morning and went for another drive... again, only round the city, Harewood, Poole, airport and home.

City when it's empty is quite strange!!

When I lived in London we used to do an occasional 5am Sunday morning run through town.

Loved it.
