I know the ignition key has to be in situ to programme the immobiliser, but I was wondering if it is possible to programme the remote locking in a pre-ecu car to work with a chrystal key.

The service manager at my friendly dealer has never tried it, but can see no reason for it not working as the frequency is the same on all UK Astons..

Aren't the glass keys ridiculously overpriced though?

I know the the leather one is a bit dull, but there's a limit smile

Some people were replacing the leather key with a compatible jag one, I've not seen the finished article, but supposedly it looks good.

Thanks. I used Iron Ore, but the Aston badge is getting a bit worn now)
