Just had my Panasonic plasma delivered - bizarrely in a minicab! It was across the back seats, at angle of 45 degrees or so with the screen downwards. Can't have been more than a 15 minute journey.

Given how they're supposed to be transported upright is this likely to be a problem? Screen seems OK but not switched on yet, do I have to wait for it to settle or something?

The issue comes when it's tilted backwards when the weight of the glass can compress everything behind it.

You'll be fine.

I would imagine that after all the 'loading and un-loading' by disinterested handlers during factory dispatch, shipping, handling this end, storage, delivery to the retailer and storage at the retailer's - that a 15 minute ride in a cab at any angle would be the least of the TV's worries! biggrin

If it helps, when I moved I laid my plasma down flat onto it's screen for a 200 mile journey in the back of a bouncy van.

I set it up at my new place and it worked fine for years afterwards...
