Anyone happen to know what's the procedure and pricing to get a spare key made for my 997tt??

Order it from your dealer with evidence of vehicle ownership. When it arrives they need to program it to the car.

Get the vaseline out and simply do not ask or check as you stick your PIN in the machine - I don't think there is another way!

To give you an idea, a replacement key for my 986 Boxster was around £150 supplied and coded from my OPC about 4yrs ago. So probably somewhere in the region of £160-£180.

I was quoted £280 inc vat and programming for a new-style (non-blade) key yestday.

if only one tub of Vaseline was enough, its like a plaster, you just have to do it. I have been putting it off. the bank account is quaking, the tears are welling and I am walking with a limp
