Not sure whether to resurrect my last thread on this or not but desperate for help so have started a new thread

Thanks to Metalman, I got the correct Receiver Drier replacement for the car but unfortunately the hose fittings were corroded and in trying to remove them I've sheared off the pipe on the end of the hose from the Receiver Drier to the Evaporator.

So I found a good mobile aircon business who are able to crimp new fittings to hoses but it seems the standard fitting size (No. 6 ) is too big for the diameter of the hose and they weren't able to crimp the fitting tightly enough to seal completely on to the pipe.

So my questions are:

Does anyone know what size of fitting is required to fit the hose and where to source one?
Any suggestions for companies which would be able to crimp to the hose whilst still on the car (preferably South of England)?

Failing this, how difficult is it to get a repalecment hose and fit between the Receiver Drier and the Evaporator (or do I need to take the dash out..)?

Thanks in advance

Andrew

We use Pirtex to repair our hoses http://www.pirtek.co.uk/service-centre-locator.asp...
They have mobile units but would be safer to drive the car to your local centre. Hth

Mine was the same as yours and the hose fittings were corroded to the t piece and broke off when fitting a new receiver dryer. I took the broken pieces to my local 'motor parts direct' where they had a catalog of air con fittings so were able to order the correct ones.
