Vantage rear light strange behaviour

Just noticed my middle rear brake light, the small strip just over the boot release is ever so slightly illuminating.
I think the light is made of approximately 15 separate led's and the 3 on the far right stay on , only just barely a little glow off them and definitely not a reflection. Car alarm on or off makes no difference.
I've had the car two and a half years and this is the first time I ever noticed it.... Any ideas, anyone else have this ? Likely to drain the battery?

Proabably water in the unit, causing a short. Dis-connect the complete unit and dry it out. Won't need a lot of water to do it either.
