OPC Belfast - any good for used cars?

I am based just outside of London and am considering a new car (new to me anyway) and have found something that looks very much like what I am after at the Belfast OPC.

Are they a good dealership? Also would you buy a car from them and bring it to London- are there any implication for doing this?

Porsche center Brighton used to bring a lot of cars over from Isaac Agnew.

Still need to register it in England. You can keep the reg number.

Bought a used car from them. No complaints & have been very helpfull. No idea about getting transferred to England, sorry.

Chatting to guy just bought a 911 turbo from them a fortnight ago, he seemed very pleased.

So it will show first registration of NI and then reregistered here in UK. I'm guessing this affect resale value???

One of my previous cars came from NI. Lost the previous keeper when I registered it with DVLA. They replace the tax disc at the same time. Strangely enough, they took the old one off me. Spent a few days displaying nothing.

I flew over in january and bought my car from them and found them better to deal with than mainland OPC.they could not have made the deal any easier, extremely helpfull, i dealt with Richard Greene and Carl( dealer principle and really knowlegable funny guy) negoitiated a discount and free delivery to midlands. I would recomend them , and will buy another car from them.dont hesitate if they have a car you want!!

They are now part of Sytner.

I've always found them helpful, perhaps a bit more expensive though

What he said - also the number plate is not year specific so does not date the car.

My car came from OPC Belfast. Once registered on the Swansea (mainland) system, the docs only show the mainland number of keepers, not the additional NI keepers (in my case 1).

Called about a 911 but it has a patchy history- it's an 8year old car services at OPC in 2007, then specialist in 2009, then at this dealership in 2013 and test it still has the Porsche warranty- bit only for a year instea of two because it was first registered in July 2005 so can't have wo years out on it apparently.

I think the service history is terrible and can't believe an OPC can sell it like that!

There is an excellent indie over here (who used to work for the OPC and is well known as being the only person to send these to) and if he serviced it I'd still be happy enough with his work

That may be true but it isn't good for resale and I believe it could have warranty implications further down the line.

I know the person in question, and has been my experience with ferrari the indies usually do a better job! It would not put me off buying a car because it had been to an indie

But a 4year gap in servicing is bad. Plus playing the extra for OPC car could be pointless if warranty is voided by not sticking to service plan!

It has missed its 2011 service - or at least there isn't a record of it in the service book. You could ask them to check with the owner - he may have an invoice. There are two independent Porsche specialists here in NI and both are ex OPC and well respected. If it has had a service using Porsche parts it's still possible to have it warranted by Porsche. One presumes that it has had a 111 pt check as well as the 2013 service, otherwise they could not offer a warranty?

The car has only covered about 4k miles per annum - it might also be worth checking any MOT certs that are available to see how many miles were covered between 2009 and 2013.

I actually had half a mind to go and look at the car you're considering, but decided to hold on for a while.

No agreed a four gap is far from ideal but a few cars I have had have had fsh but missed in book. Would be width while putting pressure on for them to follow it up see if it was done at the indie, or ring yourself

Already done and it hasn't been serviced other than what is shown in the service book!
