C63 AMG alloy wheel required
Discussion
After an unfortunate incident involving a sticking-out kerbstone on the inside of a bend I've been left with a badly damaged front-left wheel and tyre. My local MB garage has quoted me a ridiculous £430+VAT for a wheel plus £200 for a tyre so around £700 all in! Does anybody have a front AMG 5 twin spoke wheel for sale? Could anybody help me source one a little cheaper? The MB part number is MB6 6 03 1529 and it's an 18" wheel.
Thanks a lot!

This is usually the cheapest place for brand new genuine wheels: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/mercedes_alloy_wh...
But as you will see, the price is about the same.
Camskill.co.uk is usually much cheaper for tyres.
If the wheel is of forged construction, then that price isn't bad, quite frankly. If it is cast, well, it's an outrageous price for a pointless article!
I couldn't find any on Ebay. It's a real pain, I've had the same thing happen to me albeit fortunately my wheels are not so fine.

Useful link but as you say no real saving.
I've looked on eBay too but can't find anything.
The wheel probably is worth that and I'm not really arguing the cost. I'm a little upset that I've ended up with a very large bill through a minor incident. I've got better things to spend £700 on than replacing a previously serviceable item on a car I'm only going to have for another 8 or 9 months! Doubly painful is I'm trying to sort this out whilst I'm on holiday.
Going to try some specialist breakers and see if anyone on MB Club UK can help.

nice care BTW I have the same cars but the different 19" wheels
just looked on ebay and there a few sets going for £600 either buy the lot and keep for spares
I clonked my wheels on my older C63 Saloon within 2 days of owning it too, makes you feel sick!!
This time I bought the wheel insurance!!
