Recommendations to Fix Leather Drivers Bolster wear please.
Discussion
There are plenty of leather repair specialists who will sort out your bolster for £200 .....wear on bolsters depends on mileage and the weight of the previous owner......also factors such as the previous owner wearing jeans which will damage the leather more..........so don't buy a car from Jeremy Clarkson
I have similar wear on my drivers seat, but my seats are sandstorm so it doesn't show up so much. I would consider a repair if it wasn't too expensive.
I think it would annoy me if I hard dark seats as it would then be very visible.
Has anyone had repair work down and any recommendations?

Looking at buying a car, but there is wear on the drivers bolster. (Phantom Grey)
Can anyone recommend somewhere to get it fixred?
What sort of cost?
Is it a common problem with Aston seats?
Thanks
Mark

Also was working on a silver DB5 whilst mine was in cannot recommend enough.
I think I remember you from the xdrivers forum?? I had an x6 40d followed by an x6 m50d propr tp getting the db9 so posted on there a lot. Good to know about the local(ish) good performing shops as I just had stratstone treat my bolster and the car is only a month old and already wearing!Redid the whole of my X6 in red and black quilted leather.

Ive had that since 12 months old, I was doing 20K miles a year in it then though.
You can get a Scuffmaster kit from www.liquidleather.com and DIY in 30mins. This will make it a look much better
I always have a kit in stock and use it on the Range rover seats too every year or two

Scuffmaster kit from liquidleather.com about £40 and you'll have enough to do it several times over. Comes with full instructions and you'd have to be an idiot to cock it up.
1. clean it (in the kit)
2. paint in the cracks & scuffs with the dye. (in the kit)
3. seal it. (in the kit)
the only other thing you'll need is a fine tipped brush. The dye actually colours the leather rather than just coating it so it'll last for ages too.

Here's my drivers bolster with the cracks.

Would the Scuffmaster kit from liquidleather.com sort this out too?
Just out of interest, how much would it cost to replace the whole cover of the seat? I suppose it is just silly money and if you did one seat you would probably have to do the other too?? Can you get just the bolster replaced, or is it a matter of matching up the leather, so it would have to be a whole cover anyway?
