Spare oil gauge?
Discussion
The gauge on start up goes to just over 2 bar once hot on idle it sits just over red.
Its in the garage at the moment after having all new lifters put in but one of them is not pumping up right so a small tick is heard at idle. The mechanic has put his mechanical gauge on and its 60 psi cold.
Before putting the new sender on it just flickered in the red.
If it turns out that it is low oil pressure i won't be to happy as I asked for the oil pressure to be checked mechanically before any work was carried out. I thought the pick up could be blocked by a decomposed baffle (2006 and never changed 2k miles) there is oil up at the head as I can see it spitting on to the cover when the cap is removed.
he assures me the oil pressure was correct
I'm just not prepared to drive it and risk anything till its 100%
It's either the gauge or low oil pressure
I can wait for the gauge thank you mate just don't see the point in buying a brand new one.
I hope for the mechanics sake it ain't low oil pressure. Lol
