TVR Power - Servicing?
Discussion
The time has come again for the Chim's annual service. I wasn't 'happy' last year having the service at a well known independant. Ideally I'd get the car serviced where it came from, Broughtons in Cheltenham, but I hear they've long gone. I'd like to strike the balance between a 'proper' service i.e. categorically carried out to TVR scheduling and ideally a main dealer. I don't want the history to become too chequered - so looking for a long term commitment. Happy to travel. Anyone really that chuffed with their servicing? Anyone a TVR Power fan -they look well established.
James agger(Mr tvr himself)highly recommends them although i aint used them myself.

Had my Chim serviced there last year, and am going back again next week. Very friendly helpful bunch.
As for Cheltenham, there is a new dealer there (well been there just over a year) County TVR.
Thanks Alex. I note your about as far from TVR Power as myself. What the hell do you do with yourself when your Chim is being serviced just out of curiosity?

Think they offer some decent courtesy cars these days. Not sure if you have to pay for them though.

They Have just bought a Tuscan for a courtesy car. Nice!
Good set of guys at TVR Power. They have just rebuilt my Chim 450 engine. Did a damn fine job. Have a chat with Dom.

Last year was expensive cos' spent all day Christmas shopping!
This year could be worse if the Tuscan courtesy car proves difficult to hand back

TVR Power is actually part of TVR the company - not an independant dealer. If they don't know how to do it then gawd help us.
Dom & Jamie very helpful. Good value. Courtesy cars available.
Purchased my car from new from Broughtons in Cheltenham precisely because of the TVR reliability reputation & the fact that, being a joint TVR/Rolls Royce dealer at the time, I believed they would know how to deal with problems & what customer care really meant.
I was right, they did & it was a great shame when they decided "enough was enough" & withdrew from the TVR franchise.
Since then, the car has been serviced by TVR Power.
Just a shame they're in Coventry !!
Jamie and Dom did the Taraka upgrade and service -- and treat numpties like me with more respect than we deserve -- happy to walk around the workshop and will always take a call even when thier head is stuck in an engine -- however have to make sure not to waste thier time.
Are very good with thier work, clear all things with you and detail the invoice. Also any follow up they are really fair with - couldn't fault them for work and people.
