06 passat 6 speed manual crunch into second

Hi all

Just been to view a 6speed petrol passat with 100k on it and it was a nice car for the money but one thing is bugging me.

When changing from 1st to 2nd it crunched into gear as if the clutch was not fully disengaged.it only happen from 1st to 2nd and the rest of the box was fine. There was a slight tremor on the clutch pedal as well although it did not slip.

I'm thinking clutch/dmf issues but why would it only crunch from 1st to 2nd?

Is there known faults on this box?

The guy is getting it looked at Monday so will see then but would like some independent views before then?

It's a 2006 new shape car.
