cam followers, help
Discussion
There is probably someone on here that is much more qualified to make a judged statement on that.
My belief is no. I would imagine it was impossible to gaurantee any automotive part for 10k. Let alone one on the SP6 engine.
It comes down to consition of materials etc etc and that kind of analysis requires specialist equipment.
I could fit a brand new cam to mine and assume it will last 10k, it then wears badly in 3k. Was I misguided to believe it inthe first place ?? No, there are too many contributing factos for these kind of parts to be able ot make that judgement.
I reckon someone who knows these engines can give you an opinion of the current condition of the followers, but will not be able to predict 10k of use.
