So after selling my mg I had some cash laying around and a friend was selling his uk 1.8 mx5. I'd never sat in a mx5 before but I was sold the moment I sat in it. Test drive went well, apart from my friend showing me the handling of the car, loosing control and chucking into a hedge and damaging the bumper. Anyway, this was when I got it

The wheels were awful and illegal so ordered a set of these

But I couldn't put nice wheels on before lowering it so that was next

And then the day they all came together

Next up was fog light delete, bumper cut and mx5 parts exhaust

And finally to fix the front bumper, fit lower spoiler and respray with plastidip!

It's been a busy and costly few months, but I'm completely sold on mx5 ownership!

Looking much better already though, those xxr wheels look great. Was it easy to relocate the fog light?

Looking good.

Is this your exhaust? http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/stainless-steel-exhaust-...

I've got a mk1 and fancy making it a bit noisier.

was really easy to relocate, just a case of splicing a wire from the foglight to one of the reverse lights, then change the bulb. hardest bit was to cut the bumper straight!

Great looking MX5, love the wheels.

I had the twin version of that exhaust on my MX5, it was great around town and in car parks but on a long motorway run, my god it was awful lol
