System set up help
Discussion
I'm a bit lost on what I can do with the hardware I have at my disposal in the house we've just moved to. If anyone can advise, I'd appreciate it!
Hardware:
Pioneer VXS70 amp
2 x Floor standers
1 x centre speaker
2 x pre-installed wall speakers in the lounge
All that is connected together via the amp and acts as the home theatre for the TV as well as audio via Youtube and itunes (Iphone control).
We also have a pair of pre-installed ceiling or wall speakers in every other room in the house.
So in addition I have a Speakercraft S8dc splitter, a SONOS Connect and a SONOS Bridge.
All 3 of those remain in their boxes!
Question is, can I make use of that hardware to send music to each room via wireless control through the iphone? 2nd question is, can the music be zoned so that different music can play in different rooms through wireless control?
I guess I'm trying to make the pre-exisitng speakers act as the SONOS3 or 5 but I doubt it can be done this way.
Instead, I think if I connect the splitter to the amp then I can control speaker zones by manually selecting it on the splitter itself, with one music source and control. If that is the case I have no use for the Bridge or Connect and can only control music volume in each room.
Am I right?

Ok, so I would wire like this.
Bridge to Internet / wifi router.
Connect to main amp
Main amp to speaker selector
Speaker selector to speakers
This should give you a good quality single source - multi room system. You can stream music from your iPhone (slightly router dependant) to the SONOS system and the chose the volume and room to play it in on the amp side of things.
If you set the connect up to have variable volume as will then it will give you basic volume control on the iPhone as well.

Yep, this pretty much confirms what SONOS has said and what I think I realised as I was typing the OP out in the first place.Bridge to Internet / wifi router.

The way you suggest it gives me iphone control and volume control, but I will still have to manually select which room plays the music via the buttons on the speaker selector, because the speakers and selector are not wireless.
Thanks for your help!
Edit: I looked at your profile and spotted your expertise, so double thank you for posting and helping confirm things!
