OPC used car prices

I'm currently looking at buying a 997C2S / Boxster S / Cayman S. I have briefly considered a 996C4S but have decided against this now. I haven't really chosen what I want as it will be more to do with it being the right car with the right options.looking at spending between £20k-30k.

The thing is I've noticed that the prices have gone up recently across the board for all of these models. I know it is summer but I am still surprised at this. I bought my old Boxster S 2yrs ago and I can't buy the same car on the same reg for anywhere near the same money- ie they are over £3k more than I paid.

I'm guessing I will be waiting until October to see what happens- anyone else found this?

The used car market is far stronger this year than last, not sure if its an indication of the start of economic recovery or just high summer prices??? I've just managed to sell my 987.2 Boxster S I bought last November from an OPC to another dealer last month for exactly the same price which indicates to me I could of made a profit if I had held out for a private buyer!!

Yes, got a very good deal last November on buying it, its now up for sale at Rybrook Specialist cars with a healthy mark up but they have to sell it yet!! I don't mind though at all, all it cost me was 6 months tax and fuel!!!

So it has the OPC warranty, very naughty that they are selling it with the warranty as that isnt allowed! I would have had that off you!

Yes OPC warranty until November 2014. Lovely car in immaculate condition just no sat nav but that didn't bother me as 99% of the time I know where I'm going, and Tom Tom is better!!! I sold for 25k, car had just 9000 miles.

Very few cars being sold privately and those that are often get snapped up by dealers if they're priced competitively so they are controlling the market.
