My new addition- Z4M Coupe
Discussion
Had my coupe just over a week now so got round to giving it a quick (about 4hrs!) clean so here she is:
Unfortunately the pics I took are uniformly terrible so forgive me...

Previous cars include E30 M3 and although a very different car it's great to be back driving something a bit special and not the kind of car you just buy by chance. Had quite a few compliments on it already including some bloke hanging out of the window of his 1 Series to tell me 'that is the b*****ks' when I was driving earlier. Which was nice.
Cheeky driving holiday already booked so looking forward to giving it a bit more of a thorough shakedown next month.
I actually reviewed the Z4M Coupe back when I used to do more than just the very occasional bit of motoring journalism so I picked up a copy of the mag from eBay to see if my initial opinions match that of those back in 2006!

Good work! I am biased though...same colour combo as mine:

I'd read somewhere that the original-fit Conti's didn't help the ride much when they were first out - interested in your thoughts from what you remember? Mine is now on Michelin PSS and feels pretty planted, although it's always going to be a firm ride.
Very special car and currently well priced I think considering there aren't too many about.

Thanks, I have glanced over my article from way back when but I actually feel pretty embarrassed reading back my own stuff so I haven't given it a proper read-through yet. That said I only tested it on-track as the car I supplied on the day and had some time with was the Cayman S which was part of the group test.I'd read somewhere that the original-fit Conti's didn't help the ride much when they were first out - interested in your thoughts from what you remember? Mine is on Contis at the moment and I'm quite a fan of the Sport Contact 3s I have on my MINI (non run-flat). The ride is fairly hard but coming from a super-low MX5 to this makes it feel like an S-Class by comparison! I'm certainly not ditching them straight away and in the short time I've spent driving it hasn't revealed any real nasties to the handling, but I'm looking forward to testing some of the accepted replacement choices once these wear out in a year or so.
