Well yesterday morning arrived and I made my way down to Aston Martin in Brentwood to pick up my Vantage V8.

What a positive experience it was! Probably the best feeling I've ever had when buying a car.
I've had 7 911's in my time and this was just a completely different feeling.

The car is a 2007 model year, Vantage V8 with just 22,000 miles, Premium Audio, Heated front screen, Bluetooth, Heated Seats, Heated front screen, Cruise control, and other options I can't remember at the moment!
It's Meteorite Silver with black leather interior.
I put a deposit immediately after seeing it and also added the following upgrades....Clear lights, Wheels painted in anthracite and the N400 sills. Also the exhaust has been modified to always be loud (Fuse 22 isnt recommended by them, but they did the always on mod another way)

My first meeting was with Gavin, the Sales Manager and although I didn't book an appointment, he was very accommodating and spent a lot of time with me showing the car and going for a test drive....I was smitten with the car and put down the deposit!

It feels completely and utterly on a different level to the 997 C2S I had. Much better build quality and the power delivery is ample for me.....and the sound :-)

Yesterday's pick up, and Garry Gayle really looked after me.....I had lots of requests and he accommodated each one and was great to deal with.....
The car looks unique with the anthracite wheels and clear lights and I feel like a child when driving it!

Thank you Garry and Gavin at Brentwood Aston, and thank you Aston Martin for creating such a wonderful car!

Here are a few iphone pics, but I plan on a proper dslr shoot in the next few weeks :-)

Car looks fantastic no wonder you went for it straight away. Love the clear lights, does it cost much to change them??

Car looks great, some sensible and subtle mods yes

I expect they've disconnected and tied off the vacuum hoses to the exhaust valves - it has the same effect!

Nice one, good combo. Well done for getting the wheels painted, they are such poor quality from the factory.

Interested to hear how you feel it compares to your previous C2S once you put some hard mileage on it.

I took my Roadster out on the weekend for some countryside fun, and when you're really pushing it, it just doesn't inspire confidence as the Porker ever did.

I wonder if you need a geo, they often do. My Astons have always driven as well as my 911s when pushing hard.

yes both my roadsters handled well (nearly as well as my S2000's) Geo is a good start, it is also worth noting Aston have a habit of making the covertibles softer on the suspension

Very nice and quite similar to mine that I also bought from them. I part exed a 911 too! I dealt with Matt and he is also a good guy.

Enjoy!

Very similar to me
Sold my 997C2S Cab and bought V8V.
Even bought clear lights and removed fuse 22. just missing the N400 sills. They are next
Fully agree. Awesome experience.

Yes, Grange Brentwood seem to tick the boxes, I bought mine there nearly 2 years ago and will again next year no doubt. Congrats and enjoy.
