I've had my Vantage for just over a year now but thought it was time to say hello to everyone on this forum. The car is a 2006 4.3 in Meteorite grey with a black interior. I've loved it from the moment I first pressed the starter button but as a serial car modifier (Porsche 996 and Lotus Exige before the Aston) I couln't resist carrying out the following 'tweaks' over the last year...

- 20" Niche Circuit wheels in black with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres.
- H&R lowering springs and fast road geometry set up by TDI.
- RSC 200 cell racing cats.
- High flow induction kit.
- 6 slat front grill in black.
- Carbon fibre wing mirrors.
- Carbon fibre side strakes.
- De-chromed window surrounds in satin black.
- Black exhaust tips (ceramic coated)
- Black bonnet and front wing mesh.
- Number plate plinth delete.
- LED interior bulb upgrade.
- Fuse 22 removed (which sounds pretty awesome combined with the 200 cell cats and induction kit!)
- Stubby aerial.
- Paintshield protection (full front end, wing mirrors, side sills and rear arches).
- Smoked side indicators.
- Rear Vantage badge delete.

Here are a few shots from a shoot I did recently with my friends series 1 E-type;

Modifications still on the list include;
- Full Bamford Rose exhaust and manifolds.
- Bamford Rose lightweight flywheel (when the clutch needs replacing).
- V12 side sills.
- Carbon front splitter and rear diffuser.

I'll be attending CarFest South on Saturday 24th of August as part of the 100 car Aston display so hopeully I will get to meet a few of you then.

Two of the best-looking cars ever made. Personally, I wouldn't change the sills -- look at the pictures and how the original sills accentuate the beautiful curves of the front and rear wings. You'd be messing with aesthetic perfection.

Your car looks superb! Where did you source the carbon fibre mirror surrounds and how much were they? Don't wait until your clutch dies. BR's lightweight flywheel and twin plate clutch make such a difference.

Looks great. How did you de-chrome the window surrounds?

Looks great! Personally if I were doing a "blacked out" car like this I'd also add N400 / V12 Sils, N420 Diffuser & Clear lights.

I'd steer clear of this lot - it would push your car over the line from subtle to chav. Good to see you've not followed the crowd with clear rear lights.

Maybe, all depends on your point of view I suppose. Burntout has a similar set up on his car, these are some old pics not sure if he's added anything since. IMO the clear lights work really nicely with darker coloured paints.

I think the red rears suit the toned down look better than clears.
I also think that the V12 sills and Carbon diffuser would look fantastic on this!!

Yeah, losers, with their personal choices. Thank goodness you've arrived.

Hi Lewis, pleased to see you've come over to the dark side.
Yesterday I suggested a similar spec for the V12VS and you responded " not to be seen if it ain't green ". smile
Can't wait to hear George's comment.

I like a bit of green on an Aston Steven; but as the OP has bought a pre-owned (assumed dealer spec 'grey with black') car rather than spec'd from new, I can cut him slack; I am magnanimous that way yes

Just happy to see another Aston go to a good home.

Are you still punting out your Virage to some lucky bod? Lovely cloud9

I think the wheels and black/carbon bits have ruined a perfectly nice Vantage.

Nothing wrong with green, indeed most people would be pleased to own an Aston in any colour.
Reluctantly I do have my Virage for sale,if I had the garage space I would keep it as it's a smashing car and being quite rare gets a lot of interest.
