Testosterone Levels
Discussion
I am 42, Been feeling a little crap, lethargic, joint pain, fuzzy headed with a few other little issues, had a load of blood tests and they came back as normal, am not diabetic, my Testosterone level is 9.2, been round the loop before and I cant remember the figure but it was similar, the "Normal" range is 9 - 26 and last time they didnt offer much above a prescreption for Cialis and to talk to a nice lady who has me doing breathing exercises and checking whether I am mental. This has been an issue for getting on or 2 years.
The surgery rang to tell me my results were ok but I need to come in to discuss, anyone else been diagnosed with Low T, I have tried losing weight and it made no difference, I have stopped drinking for weeks at a time and no change. Am otherwise reasonably fit, cycle 14 miles a day to work and back and am pretty active.
Have read stuff that says problems occur way before the lower limit, all the symptoms apply pretty much, any idea what the doctor will say, will he give me a supplement or something or tell me to come back when its 8.9 or lower before they do anything ? surely, like with a car, you put some oil in before it drops off the end of the dipstick ?
Anyoen been here, any doctors in, am now trying to get an appointment but it involves ringing up every day on the off chance.

Yes they find out Testosterone and Oestrogen levels via blood tests. We ladies do produce testosterone via the adrenal gland and overies. I take steroids because a medical condition I have means I can produce too much testosterone and not enough oestrogen.
The hospital found earlier this year I had too much testosterone and started work on adjusting my steroid intake. Fast Forward 5 months and the last set of blood tests say I now have insufficient testosterone! So the consultant is now fine tuning things with a slight cut in my daily medication.
