Pubs/Restaurants near Brighton

Could anyone recommend a decent pub or restaurant near Brighton for a family lunch?

I don't particularly want to drive into the centre of Brighton as I've always found parking to be a nightmare over the weekends. So ideally somewhere just outside Brighton with easy parking.

Moderately decent spot - of course.

Always used to be a Bluebeckers type place off the A23 near Brighton

The Park View. Is directly opposite Preston park (about half way up Preston Drove).

Have nice stroll in park (lovely!). Free and easy on street parking all around. Easy to get to off A23, just turn off it up the Drove, pub is 2 mins on left. Park on that big road on the left that runs beside pub.

Great big terraces to sit on. Family friendly. Great food. Jobbed
