Hi all, Have a 3.8RS and need to change the tyres. The best price I have is from Micheldever for N1 cups is £1,456 fitted which is significantly better than OPC prices. I just wondered whether:

1. With the centre locks you get the tyres replaced by fitters other than OPCs; and
2. If with the TPMS it is simply a case of transferring the valves to the new tyres ie a non OPC fitter can do it easily?

Do you have to have the N rated tyres?

Micheldever is a volume operation, hence lower prices.

Can they do CLs?

I would take to OPC or respected independent.

Hi yes I need the N rating as its under warranty!

Apparently Micheldever know how to work on centre locks but just wondered if anyone had experience of non OPCs with these...

I would go to the OPC and negotiate the price using Micheldever as a benchmark. If the gap is still too large you could go to Micheldever.

I've always found my OPC are able to match independants. That way there's no excuse if a centre lock ever fails.

Why not buy them from Micheldever and get them delivered to your OPC?

www.tyresavings.com are pretty competitive too.

that's a very good price...... if they can handle center locks and you will and can watch them torque to 600Nm then i would go with them.
