Kitchen

Our kitchen is being installed next week and I'm on the lookout for a kitchen TV.

It will be hung on the wall like this between the window and french doors:


Requirements:

• About 22" - 26"
• Looks good on a wall mount
• Good sound (There will be no external speakers and it will occasionally be used for Freeview radio)
• 1080p
• Smart functionality (Cat 6 socket already on wall)
• Preferable in non-black (The kitchen is a light colour scheme)

Best I've found is the Samsung F5410

Any other suggestions?

A waste of time getting a 22" 1080p TV unless you plan to use it as a computer monitor. I have an LG 22" model in the bedroom and have to get out of bed to read the EPG.

I'd also be worried about the sound in a small flat screen, how about some ceiling speakers just above the TV for sound and the radio/music

Yup, even 32inch is a struggle more than 6 - 8 feet away ........... and yes me lamps are in fine working order.

I have a 32" in the lounge about 8-10 feet away from where I sit. I run a Humax HDR-FOX T2 Freeview+ PVR through it which has a HD EPG (do I get an award for the most acronyms in one sentence? ). I'm still of the generation that believes a 32" TV is large enough.

The 1080p requirement is purely because I don't know what I might plug into it. It might have a laptop/tablet plugged into it at some point.

That's a very good point. I have a 1080P 32" set in my kitchen/dining room. Do I believe it's worth it over a 720P set? Not really TBH but I use a matrix to share sources with my lounge TV which restricts me to the lowest common denominator so it was worth it to me. I also occasionally use the set as a monitor for my laptop and a 720P desktop is quite restrictive.

I have absolutly no idea what this means ......... is it some kind of Somali dialect?

My TV is a Samsung if that helps ........ I still can't read the damn thing
