Just thought I`d introduce myself as the new owner of 2005 DB9 auto with meteorite paint and obsidian interior, with only 15,000 miles.
This is an itch I`ve had to scratch since the age of 14 when my father took me to Newport Pagnell to see the V8`s being built, with the older DB4/5/6`s being serviced and repaired in another workshop; those were the days when the assembled engines were taken across the road on a trolley to meet their new car. The abiding memory was of the astonishing workmanship that went into Aston Martin`s, and that this is not just another mass produced box.
I`m absolutely loving the car, every journey is an occasion, everybody wants to travel in it, and it only provokes a positive response. I was looking for a Conti GT but the Aston is just like a huge magnet...
The forum has been very useful thus far,and I`ll look forward to picking your collective brains!
I`ll post some pics soon.

Welcome Martin. Where in Warwickshire are you?

You need to post pics soon otherwise the natives get angry.

Rule #201 - Thou shalt not post regarding a new Aston without pictures.

Just saying.

Oh, and congrats!

"picking your collective brains" .
If that's what you're looking for you've come to the wrong place.
If I sold brains instead of outdoor clothing I would have made a fortune on this forum. smile
P.S. Do not forget forum regulations, when posting pics of your car include a least one pic that includes your wife /partner.
Preferably in a bikini or something,it's an Aston tradition.
