Have a set of track wheels and tyres for my Mini Cooper S works for track days. Have fitted a new set of R888's and only done one track evening at Brands. Now off to the ring in a month or so. Will they last there, 10 laps ish and back? And more? Any experience? Many thanks
hi, i was in a simular situation to you i had r888s on my clio and i did a trackday and then two week later i went to the ring. i got there did around 18 laps and got home. i would say when i got back they was just road legal, the carousal kills them lol

The SG compound takes a kicking, but the GG's are harder wearing.
If you have a set of road wheels and tyres, use them. Depending on where you are in the UK, you're looking at 1000 miles just getting there and back. That's rubber that can be put to better use.
