Complete numptie, I am afraid.........

I will try to keep this as simple as possible.....

Have recently got rid of our old computer which ran windows 98, we have now got one running on XP.

Now, we have linked up to this an Epson colour 680 printer, which was working fine previously, but since buying the new computer it will not print anything...

The printer instruction manual does not mention anything about XP, so we have downloaded the XP drivers from the internet....

I have just been out and put a new black ink in the printer, because I knew that was a bit low, I THINK the level on the colour ink is OK, but not 100% sure, but do not want to waste money buying another cartridge if that is not the problem......

The red light, on the front of the printer, (The one under the green power light) is permanantly on btw, so when I click the print button on the computer screen nothing happens......

any ideas....

Thanks in anticipation.....

Make sure the paper size is set to A4 not letter as it may be asking you to feed individual sheets in.

Thanks for the replies guys......

Problem solved....

The colour ink must have run out, or been very low.....

Anyhow, I have been out and bought a new colour (pattern) cartridge...(around £8), and it is now working fine.......

Thanks again.......
