just dont wanna drop 50k on something that will be worth 4 Ferrer Rocher in 6 months time.

Just like the Cayenne does not get too much mention either, and it's been around for a lot longer - They are not really enthusiasts cars, and PH is really about people who are into their cars, not simply using them as they would any other car.

That's what I thought ....try getting a big discount off new, or money off a demo, it doesn't happen, when you compare the used values of M5/E63 they seem to be holding well, except maybe a high spec turbo.

The Cayenne gets quite a lot of interest but normally within one thread

Personally, I think Porsche missed the mark with the Panamera. Facelift version may well be better, but it's the next Generation Panamera (2016?) that may see the improvements most enthusiasts expect, in terms of design, performance, desirability.

Afterall, it took Porsche two attempts to get the Cayenne right.

Used prices are crazy too, very little out there for less than £50k - even the launch cars.
I was fully expecting them to be in the £30k range at 3 years old - how wrong I was!

I was very reluctant but bought my mrs a platinum edition diesel, she could have had any four seat car under the sun but insisted on this.
Just driven to the south of France and returned 47 mpg, but for me theres still somthing missing, I'll try a turbo when we get back.

I to am a fan having driven a Turbo version. If I needed a true four seater I wouldn't hesitate but to in love with my 911 to change at present....

OPC lent me a Panamera diesel when my 911 was in for warranty work and I was very impressed: superb build quality, spacious, comfortable, handles beautifully, improbably quick, 50mpg AND when you're driving it, you don't have to look at it! If I were in the market for a large saloon as a DD, it would definitely be well up my list. I'm not, but I am after a Gen 2 Cayenne diesel and, lo, their prices are staying silly too!

Would never have considered a Panamera until I had one as a courtesy car for a couple of days.

As a family car....didn't want to give it back !!

Again, when they are around 30k, hoping to buy one to replace my daily oil burner.

Wholeheartedly agree with the comment that when you are driving it you don't have to look at it.

Seriously 'ugly' car, well - has challenging angles - but fantastic to drive and travel in......

Porsche really need to do a reduced size 5-series version.

Also strange they don't do a 5 seat option given how wide the car is....Surely that reduces the popularity?
