Rear 17" tyre recommendations Boxster 986?

Apologies if a somewhat boring topic but I posted this on the Boxa.net forum and got zero response!
Currently have Pirelli P Zero Rosso N3's on my 2.7 Boxster, they are down to the wear bars.
Not bothered about spending a few quid but there are a few options around the £135-165 mark.
Any recommendations? I was thinking of Kumho's as they seem good value and have heard they are grippy?
Maybe Michelin Pilot Sports - heard they are good.
I know the Boxster eats rear tyres but I only do about 2500-3000 miles a year and just for fun so the car is driven pretty hard when it is used, so I guess durability is not really too much of a factor as they will get chewed up either way....
Would love to hear from anyone who has done a lot of miles in their car and had experience of different tyres.

While I have a lot of miles experience with my 02 Boxster (a bit over 270K miles currently) I've never run any of the non N rated tires on my Boxster or my 03 TurboCurrently have Pirelli P Zero Rosso N3's on my 2.7 Boxster, they are down to the wear bars.

I've only run Pirelli and Michelin tires on my Boxster and Continental and Bridgestone tires on my Turbo.
If you are just replacing the rear tires my advice parallels that of Porsche and that is to replace the rear tires with same identical brand/type of tire, right down the N number. IOWs do not mix tires.
If you are going to replace all 4 tires my advice is replace them with Michelin unless the cost delta is too great for your comfort level. I have found Michelin tires to be about the same price as other tires in the past but this may not be always the case.
If you want to go off the reservation and buy non N rated tires I can't offer any help. I know (read) some owners swear by the cheaper tires, some swear at them.
Pirelli tires on my Boxster give good tire life and service but tend to get noisy as they wear and age (get hard from heat cycling). That is the only knock on them I have.
Be sure the car wheel/tire alignment is correct. But even so hard/aggressive driving can really consume rear tires. I can get 15K, 18K, even 20K (and sometimes more) miles from the rear tires on my Boxster and believe it or not on my Turbo (nearly 23K miles once) but I do not toss the car around or look to spin the rear tires every chance I get.
