Cortina Savage
Discussion
My neighbour has a 1969 orginal Cortina Savage that he has had in his garage for 16 years never been on the road for 16 years, it, has a current MOT, goes on a trailer for MOT, has very little rust on it, all orginal never been restored engine runs ok body is in good condition, he is considering selling it and is wondering what it is worth, it still has the race proved stickers on it and on the rocker covers.
There used to be a 'Savage Register' but I can't find any website links for it now..... maybe it's folded...?
If it's a 1600E based Savage, then he could try contacting the MKII & 1600E club.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's that good, you could be talking £15k+ maybe in terms of value...??

On the Cortina front:
Wife saw a Mk 1 Cortina Convertible at Newby Show and it was her favourite car out of about 1500 including come very rare AC, Astons, etc!
No idea what one would be worth now, but would have thought a genuine Savage in decent condition was a limited interest enthusiasts car. Very rare then, often copied and if in road trim rather than race trim (stripped) then, if the right person is out there looking for one .......
Probably out of my price bracket as, I suspect a Crayford Cortina.

What would make a Cortina Mark 2 with RoStyle wheels and a bigger engine worth that sort of money? If it's a 1600E based Savage, then he could try contacting the MKII & 1600E club.
