Some of the new stuff includes loads of new guns, new game modes, new perks, customisable charachters, New abilities like sliding etc, a new engine as well as destructible maps/buildings similar to battlefield.
Yeh it will be similar as before but it is the most popular online fps, so why change it too much.
I'm personally looking forward to it as its on the next gen consoles.
Lets not turn this thread into a primary school playgroumd and make this a Cod vs battlefield thread etc.

New game modes like Cranked look really fun.
Search and Rescue will be interesting, particularly if it makes it into the pro-circuit. Could be interesting to watch that as S&D are always the most intense games, and this will add a new spin because players can be respawned!
Some people are concerned at the sheer number of new perks, but I think you'll probably find that they are mostly just known perks which have been divided up. Like in the past in MW games you had the "pro" version of perks, like Lightweight makes you run faster, but Lightweight Pro also stops fall damage. (Was it lightweight or marathon, I forget.) And in BO2 dexterity helps you mantle quicker, but also helps you ADS quicker. So I reckon they'll just split all those abilities up, with the most useful ones being most 'expensive' in terms of your 8 (or up to 11) perk points.
Not sure how I feel about the new class of guns. They apparently bridge the gap between snipers and AR's. So it looks like a whole class of things basically like the FAL. If any of these are one hit kills then I think quick-scopers will love it, but the rest of us would hate it! (I wish they'd make a sniper only game mode, so all the quick scopers could go in there and not bother the rest of use SMG/AR players!) Oh, and also you seen that new kill streak? You get to sit in a chopper with a sniper rifle!
I'm also a bit concerned about how the 'lean' function will work. I don't want extra buttons, and I don't want to be "stuck" to objects. However they seemed to say you didn't need extra buttons to do it, so will be interested to learn just how that works. It also looks like you'll be able to hipfire whilst mantling, or at least soon afterwards. That's been a grip for a while, as you're basically defenceless whilst mantling otherwise.
Expect there will be LOADS more videos coming out later today/tomorrow as the youtuber embargo is lifted! There's plenty of info in the main multiplayer trailer, if you freeze frame through it, so expect Ali A will be busy for a while tearing it apart!

On the face of it, it looks fun - but I thought that about Blops II, and I never warmed to that. The shottys look good, and the use of explosives and having a map that is interactive in terms of being able to blow up stuff, is an improvement, but at this point, we're used to it just being a tarted up version of a previous CoD, so despite a new engine etc, it'll possibly be a big dollop of mehhh.
It's frustrating that they put so much work into trailers (think Blops II 'surprise', that was a cracker), but the games have been a bit samey in recent years (admittedly they tried new stuff in Blops II, but it all got a bit sci-fi for me).
I'll still buy it probably, but possibly not a pre-order or day 1.

meh blops2 was enough for me to say jog on to COD, the amount of money they make and they seem to spend the bare minimum making the next game catered to kids,
they always dress up these "new" developments but in reality they amount to f==k all. no proper servers, small teams, silly small maps to have connection battles with people from france, more ways to kill people with even less skill, more stupid add ons and attachments.
I got so bored of COD, its just the same old over and over. but kids will still buy it by the millions and such there always be more crap games being made.

^^^ This to be honest. Been a massive CoD fan since the very first one but the last two instalments have been deeply disappointing. I REALLY hope they manage to get back to the incredible heights of CoD4 rather than pandering to yet more of the pre-pubescent ADHH crowd this time round otherwise it will be another round to "that other franchise that can't be mentioned"they always dress up these "new" developments but in reality they amount to f==k all. no proper servers, small teams, silly small maps to have connection battles with people from france, more ways to kill people with even less skill, more stupid add ons and attachments.

You can play as female soldiers too for the first time.
Woo hoo My OH spends as much time on her PS3 as I do, admittedly mostly on Final fantasy and other crap games but she does enjoy a good deathmatch from time to time.

Agree mate! First time i am actually not looking forward to the game and probably wont get it until i get a PS4. they always dress up these "new" developments but in reality they amount to f==k all. no proper servers, small teams, silly small maps to have connection battles with people from france, more ways to kill people with even less skill, more stupid add ons and attachments.

I totally agree that the game has become FAR to combersome with guns, perks and attachments. having played MW2 recently it felt soooo good! good maps and proper gun to gun action. Yes it was not a trouble free game but it still feels great to play.
Chris.
An interesting question about the female soldier models: Will their 'hit box' be the same size as the guys?
Reason for asking is that since females tend to be less tall and more slender than males, their body (aka target area!) for shooting at will look smaller. So they might be harder to see, and harder to hit. Wonder if/how that might be implimented.
If they are indeed smaller targets to both see and hit, will there be any balancing penalty? For example will they move slower, or throw gear less far? I think that if their model is smaller and harder to hit there should be some kind of penalty, to keep things balanced with the male character models within multiplayer.
Not sexism - balanced gameplay!!

Very much doubt it lets face it they still have the auto snipers ruining the game.Reason for asking is that since females tend to be less tall and more slender than males, their body (aka target area!) for shooting at will look smaller.
