A car is only worth what someone will pay for it. There's not a huge demand for Mk 2 garage queens. As for too cheap, as I understood it, you contacted another PH'er with a bargain price as you were so desperate to offload it.
As I've said previously, you're not the Quentin Wilson/Mike Brewer you think you are when it comes to market prices/analysis for Porsche GT models.

ALso I don't think, but you can quote me if I am wrong (you seem to quote me when I am right anyway) that Porsche ever made 996 Carbon GT3 bucket seats with those harness surrounds in Carbon.

but if you want to argue black is white than feel free, I do think you comment after me for the sake of it, when I am pointing out what I am seeing.
I don't see the need to requote every sentence and make stty comments on every one of my posts, but it seems a trend with you !!!

DId it not cross your mind that you might be able to buy those carbon harness surrounds as an aftermarket item ?

No reservce doesn't mean a heck of a lot.

Amari had a few cars for sale via Ebay auction just recently. They all apparently sold yet several weeks later are all still on their forecourt

Getting back on topic, I agree it's a very tidy car for the money, whoever buys it will probably love it despite the "fake seats "

I think 996 gt3 mk2 leather seats age quite quickly indeed.

So, the condition does not surprise me at all. I had a genuine low miles mk2 a few years back and they were not far off the condition of these.

I may also depend on a lot of other factors: has the car stayed extensive periods of time in the sun etc...

The fact that they are worn actually suggests that the carbon buckets are original and came with the car. Otherwise the leather would look a lot newer, right?

They could also have been bought 2nd hand which -as we all know- happens a lot.

I like a garage queen and if I was not full up with cars, I would take a closer look.

I agree on the seats - they do look more than 15k old. Have never liked those "alien" leather bucket seats - I'd hoik em out, stick em on eBay and fit a pair of Nomex Corbeaus or Cobras.

Interesting that the eBay add lists it's as "GT3 RS Comfort"...

They do look a bit wrinkly to me too, but its a simple fix. Just undo the Velcro, re-stretch the leather and feed with a good leather cleaner and conditioner like Glyptone... Job done!
