I originally put this post in the South West section, but thought I would post here as well wink

For a while I have been thinking about buying my first TVR in early(ish) Chimaera 400 form. I really want a V8 in my life and the next couple of years present a possible window for me to bite the bullet.

The thing is, I'm basing all my love for the Chimaera on a passenger ride I had in my bosses 500 about 15 yrs ago. It's a long shot I know but it would be really great to meet up with a local ish Chimaera owning Pistonhead member to learn a bit more about the cars. Of course, a passenger ride would be great, but it would also be great to stick my head under one and have a look at what's what etc and also hear about the general ownership experience. I've been reading up about buying and running etc, but what I really need is to see one in the flesh.

I'm based in Bristol (BS6), so if anyone local has an hour to spare over the next couple of weeks it would be massively appreciated yes Happy to travel out of Bristol to meet somewhere suitable.

Cheers in advance smile
Matt

Im only in Gloucester (GL3) so not a million miles away. Happy fopr you to climb all over the car (figuratively). it's "just" a 400 so you may get a better offer LOL.

Aside from the ACT y-piece, decat and cherry bomb it's pretty much as Peter intended...

Weekends are a bit tight at the moment but one evening should be fine...

As mentioned in the South West thread, happy to help in a couple of weeks when I'm around.

(Jules's car is lovely though...) Looks just like mine, only his is in better condition.

A massive thanks to all those who have responded, it really demonstrates what a great place Pistonheads is. I'm going to drop Gary a line as he is nice and local (and also has a quality surnamebiggrin).

If for any reason the above falls through I'll give someone else a shout!

Cheers,
Matt

Hi there

I'm in Clifton just by Cotham Hill - Starmist blue 400 (although stage 3 4.6 in there now)

Mine's just finished body off refurb and waiting for exterior work but I'm still bombing around Bristol in it!

Happy to show you the ropes if you fancy! Let me know

Cheers

Cheers for the offer Paul!

This is definitely something I would be interested in once I'm ready to buy. I'll be in touch!
