Puncture cause?
Discussion
Particularly dumb question I know, but here we are anyway.
Recently built up a cotic soul using some components - particulary the wheelset, from my old carrera fury.
First outing at ashton court + leigh woods and I got two rear punctures, each immediately following relatively small jumps / drop offs.
First thought was underinflation and pinch flats, but the puncture's arent snakebites - it's a small slit, away from the seams on the tube and its gone right through both sides.
Tyre thoroughly checked, nothing poking through it. No obvious problems with the rim tape. Punctures occured at different places on the tubes.
The wheelset came over wholesale from my old bike, same tyres, tubes etc. Tyres were inflated to normal mtb levels, probably ~30psi
I've ridden these routes plenty of times on the old mtb without issues, could there be something about the new frame that ends up with more force going through the rear?
