Sorry if this has been discussed before, but wondering how many sit through the start up system check? If so, every start or just first start of the day?

Good question, why do you ask ?
I usually wait for the procedure to finish out of habit.

Just curious I suppose. I find that I typically only do it on the first start.

Always yes

It takes the same time as it does to put on my seatbelt so that's when it gets done.

Yeah, I always wait. I vaguely recall some posts here in the past about a false warning message coming up that was eventually linked to not waiting for the system check to complete.

I always push the ECU straight in. Does anyone know how to start a manual car by letting it go through its 'pure Aston Martin' cycle.

Proper bloke and therefore have never read manual smile

I do this on my GT.. although I put the key in and turn... then wait for all the dash lights etc to go through the process. I also have a soft ding and wait to hear a ding after the lights have gone out, then I start.

Even on the DB7 GT, I think waiting helps avoid the odd warning light mishap.

I wait for the system check, start up, seat belt, by which time the ASM1 click kicks in. Just made it a routine - and it's a daily driver, and irrespective of how many times I have turned it off and on, I follow the same flow now that I've got a routine.

Sounds boring I know!
