XR3i cab values
Discussion
My Father-in-Law is thinking about selling his XR3i convertible. I don't know much about these, and he doesn't know how much it might be worth.
I'd be really grateful for some sort of estimate from those in the know.
It's a D plate in red with a black roof, and original white plastic wheel covers. Completely standard, original Ford cassette player and so on. Three owners from new including him, service history, and, I think, about 80k on the clock.
He's pointed out some tiny bubbles beneath the windscreen and on the rear edges of the front wings. There are a few dings elsewhere in the bodywork but overall I reckon it is very presentable. He's owned it and garaged it for the past 20 years. It runs well and has MOT, tax etc.
Any ideas as to value?

Mk3 or Mk4?
Mk3 will be worth slightly more I would have thought but even then they don't tend to make great money unless they're really good.
It's a mk4 - the slightly more rounded front headlights. Judging by these responses it's probably worth what he first thought - £700ish.Mk3 will be worth slightly more I would have thought but even then they don't tend to make great money unless they're really good.
