service for a 09 Vantage located near Edinburgh

So it is service time as the Vantage is (over)due for the 4th service.

I am just outside Edinburgh so the natural choice would be Murray in Edinburgh. they called me today to remind me the service was due. When I asked the price I was told it was nearly £1500! I thought this was a bit steep so started having a look on the Aston Site for the 2nd closest dealer.

I found Aston Workshop in County Durham. When I called them they said it would only be £883 all inclusive, quite the difference to say the least even with a 2.5 hour drive to the garage I think.

I called Murray to ask if they made have made a mistake with the pricing and I am then told the first price includes collection and if i did not need that then it would be just over £1100! Bearing in mind I am only 15 miles from them I think this is a cheek as I never had the car collected from them before either.

The ironic thing is had they quoted me the £1100 in the 1st place I would just booked it in and been none the wiser about Aston Workshop.

Has anyone here used them and can you recommend them at all? I am not best pleased with what I deem to be 'up selling' by Murray here so I am happy to give someone else the business if the are any good.

£300 quid to collect and deliver a car 30 miles cheeky tts....

Not familiar with your area.... But I wouldn't use that Stealer on principle.... 4th year service is listed as 4 hours 15minutes..

So at £150 per hour, that's just over £600 quid, plus oil filter etc £800 sounds about right

To be fair maybe they were going to lift it and carry it by hand. That would ok. Other than that agreed pure cheek.
