Ah, you know what I mean. Diminishing residuals and all. UniChip + RR time, + Bore out to 3.2 + lightened balanced + hot cam + SS system + ported and flowed heads = lots of money + much diminished reliability and still not as much power as the V8.
So the likelyhood of them producing tuning parts for the V6 is pretty small. I'm just going to opt for, lightened and balanced, bore hone, possibly new rings, slightly hotter cam, reconned and ported heads and the UniChip, most of which I can do myself if I have the space/funds. The main problem being the actual engine switch.

be very interested to hear how you get on chris, as may be useful for our use on the S. I am still not so convinced by the cossie route, and thinking turbo or Nos could be the way forward. Nos is a little too much on/off and not easy for insurance etc. To be honest, I havent given it too much thought or done enough research at the mo, other than a quick chat with joolz when i was up his place the other week.
Well, I've got the spare engine arriving at minimax's garage on Sunday, First thing is to take the engine apart and see how it all works, then see about spare parts. I don't think balencing will cost too much, I can do the bore hone myself, the only problems will be: the rings, and whether the engine comes apart properly, I think it's been stored outside. Heads should be easy, I'm just going to take them apart, have them decked and then see if I can get a die grinder to smooth the ports out with. I may have to do this in Surrey. Then it will be putting it back together time. I don't think I'll do too much in winter due to bad weather and poor light. The hardest part will be getting the engine to my mechanics so he can put it in, and obviously the cost of it all. I reckon minus labour and Unichip it can all be done for well under £1K. Mind you that's still way more than I have.
