Driving instruction
Discussion
Had my V8S now for 3 months, but been on holiday/out of the country, so realised that, basically, I'm cr@p at driving it, epecially in the wet as I don't know how far I can push it before I end up in a hedge.
So can anyone recommend a good driving course. The RideDrive one is looking favourite at the moment but would welcome any comments. An insurance reduction for doing a course would be good, but I'd rather have the best course (and no insurance reduction) and not have to claim on the insurance than go for a course which got me a reduction but taught me most, but not all, I need to know.
Reckon a couple of trackdays would help me understand the car's handling, too (except would probably p!ss off you old hands as I tootled for the first few laps) but suspect are fewer of these at this time of year.
Finally, would be good to meet up with other members/owners in the Sheffield/South Yorks/North Derbysire district.
Thanks in advance.

Ride Drive is very good, I'm booking a 2nd half day course this week now I've got my new car as I was so pleased and really enjoyed the one I did last year.
However the standard courses are not about car control, more about awareness of your surroundings and making smooth and quick progress.
They do an full day course with track time which might be what you want, or perhaps a skid-pan session for the wet handling...

Thanks Tripps.
Smooth and quick progress is fine; the car has higlighted how unsmooth my driving actually is (although of course I'd never admit that!)
Get in touch via my profile if you'd like to know more.
