I would question the owner on the exact details surrounding the engine 'rebuild'. Remember that Porsche do not fit any upgraded parts, just replace with new.

Having said that, it's under the warranty so what's the worst that can happen?

As Molly said, get the background as to why the engine was rebuilt and also confirm that the warranty on it is transferable.

Thanks guys, managed to stay on track and just look at what was originally planned. Once you're ready it can be a bit dangerous out there!
