how do you remove it - its all over my car after a holiday where it was parked up under a tree. Nothing in Halfords will shift it!

Methylated spirit works, then a quick polish, no problems!

Have you tried warm to hot water with a good shampoo? I have always managed to get the hardened stuff off that way. You have let the water soften the sap first then do a pre rinse or two bucket wash to avoid scratches and grit stuck in the sap

We have a tree outside work and it constantly sprays the car in the summer and the office forecourt is a sun trap, so it's always a problem.

Am I right in thinking that its actually aphid sperm, and nothing to do with the tree.?

Have some of this on my leather seat and its proving to be a right bugger to remove. I have tried leather cleaner etc but no joy. Any ideas please?
