drivers window

drivers window has just stopped working, I've had a quick look and there is a relay in the door panel and I was just wondering if this is for the window? or are the windows on seperate fuses?

That sounds like someone has added an extra relay to compensate for slow windows. In this case all the switch does is power the relay and there may be a direct feed from the battery to the window via the relay. There will be a fuse for the window circuit but there may also be an inline fuse from the battery feed of the modified wiring so you will need to trace the wiring back to see where it goes.
