Lovely 944 Turbo at OPC Tonbridge today..

Hi Si, that was my little beast which has come out of a three-year hibernation. The clutch has gone - hopefully only needs a bleed. It'll get a health check, belts, service etc. I'm awaiting the last parts (from Speed Force Racing in San Diego) to turn this into a 450-500 bhp sleeper next summer - Vi-Pec engine management, Garrett turbo, racing head, cams, SFR intake, Lindsey Racing dry sump, Guard LSD, rose-jointed suspension & Leda coil overs, Tarrett ARBs, Big blacks etc etc - but it will retain the stock appearance (993 hollow-spokes aside) & interior.
When the work begins - probably next summer - I'll start a thread.
Wossner custom made the new pistons (you specify your desired bore, CR, valve lift & combustion chamber volume) & made new forged rods - so we should be good for reliable power. I have the cam sensor/trigger wheel (Clewett Engineering) etc to run sequential injection so it should be good for civilised idling & decent emissions with its 1000cc injectors. The Vi-Pec engine management system is essentially a Link G4 Xtreme with all the bells & whistles enabled.
The headers & exhaust system (Speed Force Racing) is ceramic coated & will run a Tial MV-R 44mm waste gate. The turbo is a Garrett GTX3071R with a 0.82 A/R Tial hot side which should work fine with the 2.5 litre.
I think the dry sump tank (Pace Products) will need to be mounted in the boot & vent to atmosphere through existing grommets in the rear wing.
I really want it to look as stock as possible inside & out - it's been a long time in the speccing, planning & parts gathering.
