I've begun to clean the interior of my recently purchased T350 and removed the seats to get better accessability to the carpets. I noticed, that the seats have an integrated lumbar support, but with no avail for the drivers seat. As i checked, the pump for the drivers seat is missing (besides all wiring being cut mad )

Does anybody know where to get a replacement pump? Is this a TVR exclusive part or, like some other parts too, taken from other marques?

I'd appreciate any lead on this issue. beer

I'm not 100% certain because mine isn't fitted with it but I thought the lumbar support was simply a pneumatic system with a bladder by the seat back that pumped up a bag. I'm not sure what wiring you've found but I don't think it's anything to do with lumbar. Maybe the seats have been re-trimmed and somebody has put heating elements in but never got round to wiring them up?

Thanks for your reply.

Hmm, the lumbar rubber ball pneumatic system i know from the tuscan. However my car has a two-way-switch at the front of the seat and a pneumatic pump (in a sealed plastic bag) below the seating. I thought, that this should be a factory fit.
I snapped a pic from the seat. The position of the switch (currently disassembled, so only the connector is visible) and the bag with the pump which normally rests under the seating (velcro) are marked by red circles.

Maybe i just open the bag tomorrow and this gives a hint on the make of the pump. confused

Never seen that either. Best guess would be an aftermarket effort.

No not aftermarket Alex. A few of the launch day Sags came with electric lumbar on the Sparco/T350 style seats. Both driver and passenger seats on mine have as per the image above. Rare option to some early T cars but I'm glad it's there.

Thanks for sheding some light on this issue.

But that would mean, that the info on these pumps/compressors should be very scarce. Seems like i really have to open the waterproofing and look for myself what kind of pump is installed.
But any new info greatly appreciated.

Electric lumbar support was an option on your seats and the Tuscan style seats. As stated, that switch at the front between your legs should control it.

Thanks for that, Mark.

What a good idea for another addition to the Sag - aftermarket lumber support and massage options!

Great suggestion! tongue out

Finally i managed to get all of the interior back into the car. Cleaned everything and applied some leathercare.

As promised i opened the bag and looked for hints in regard of the make of the pump. But it seems as it is not that easy. But maybe somebody recognises the parts from other car manufacturers.

Hi RobertoBlanco,

its a lumbar support that BMW uses.
Take a look at the E38 series...you find Pump, relais, Airbag on ebay...and a complete set.

Ok, I've found a reasonably cheaper aftermarket lumbar support system and a massage system that can work with it.

Looks simple to fit, but ships in from the US.

If anyone else is interested, I'll post the details.

Depends where you put the 8 massaging motors...

I can think of some positions that would achieve that effect - yes

Bit jurassic if you're only using it for that surely? Why not add in that Citroen-style lane departure warning rumble thing?
