Got done for speeding around 6 weeks ago by a cash cow van, I was doing 78 in a 50 awaiting court date (s),hold my hands up. I haven't broke a speed limit since, today on the way back from a tvr rolling road day in shrewsbury I was 3 miles from home driving through a industrial area at 3.30 I drove under a bridge and round a bend doing around 38 in a 30.What was round the bend but a fkin speed van.I have a had enough of these ing things.

Mine came in threes .... Spent 18 months on 9 points ....stted myself every time I saw a speed van or police. Down to 6 now and in November its back to 3...I hardly took the TVRs out in those 18 months, but most of my points came driving my BMW .
PS Appear in court, in a suit, say you're very sorry...Always the best way.

it could be worse.... in Guernsey we dont have points. you get caught for speeding, you get an instant ban. not easy to keep within the 35mph speed limit! over 40mph and its a month off then longer and longer the faster / more often you get busted!

I have just got done 35 in a 30, speed awareness course, in a bloody people carrier. Early in the morning and unsighted.

Took the M3 out and think I got done again in the M3. There isn't any excuse for speeding but it does happen. The irony is I run a speed campaign frown

It's really easy not to get caught by speed cameras. Do the posted limit. If you get done once, then choose to break the limit again and get done again, not really anything you can blame anyone for.

I know most people will bemoan the cash cow cameras / stealth tax / coppers who should be out catching criminals etc.... but I am pretty sure I can find you just as many people who wish there had been a speed camera there to slow them down that fateful night...

I managed to rack up 11 points in the first 12 months of Tuscan ownership, so I had 24 months staring at a ban if caught again.

I sold the Tuscan

I then spent the next 24 months sticking to the speed limit ridgidly and eventually lost all the points.

I bought a Cerbera.

I have had it four years now and dont have any points on my licence.

I learned my lesson.

I got done(68 in a 50,coming round a blind corner on a four lane road,no central reservation) at 660 metres by a camera on a pillar on the back of a Police motorcycle parked underneath a Speed Camera. I protested with the cop that he couldn't hit my numberplate with the laser at that distance. I spent the next 5 minutes targetted his speed gun at cars, unfortunately he wouldn't let me book 'em smile . You must have very good eyesight.
