Sony NEX5N problem....advice required please.
Discussion
Hi all,
Mrs WR has the above camera, which she purchased brand new just over twelve months ago from (The old) Jessops...online.
She uses it a lot, and it works fine, and takes nice photographs...but....the last few months the edge of the glass screen at the back has started to go like a "mottled" effect, almost as though water has got underneath it...(Which it hasn't)...the camera has been very well looked after..

Obviously she is concerned this might go worse, in fact it is doing...any idea what it is, and what might be causing it?
At first we thought it was a removable protective foil backing, but it isn't.....
Thanks in anticipation....

christopher.bowen@eu.sony.com – no point contacting CS as they will read from the script and tell you as it's outside of warranty there'll be a chargeable repair.
Being the MD, someone will be charged with dealing with your complaint, which should hopefully see the situation resolved to your satisfaction.
No point going to the new Jessops, all consumer contracts with the old Jessops ended as soon as they shut up shop.
Sale of Goods won't work since you've no contract with the new Jessops.
If you paid by credit or debit card, check to see if you have extended warranty by using it, it's a feature some card providers offer.

It's the screen protector that Sony put on as standard.
Sadly it's quite a common issue on these cameras. Mine has started to show signs of it recently.
