From Calais to Bruges to Leuven to Spa, Belgium

Hi all.

We are heading over to Spa for the F1 this coming week.
But we are having a little holiday beforehand starting in Bruges.

My question is, is there anything to see along the way? It is a very simple route: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl

I have set the maps to avoid the motorways to try and make it a little interesting.
Just wondering if anyone has done this and if there is anything to see/do on the way?
