Smart phone for music lovers

I have just replaced my iPhone 4 with an HTC one., and all I can say is wow. The suppliers earphones are much better than I was expecting but very bassy so were quickly ditched for my trusty Sennheiser cx400-2s. I was taken aback by the difference in the sound between the iPhone and the HTC one, it is slightly bassier but not unduly so in the way the earphones are, and is much clearer/faster in the detail. I went back to the iPhone to check it wasn't just new toy is better syndrome. This was initially done with Spotify sync'd tracks, both devices set to 'extreme' 320kbps. I've yet to try lossless but that won't be a direct comparison as my understanding is that the HTC won't support apple losslrss, and the iPhone doesnt do FLAC.

I was duvious about the beatsaudio gumf in the reviews/spec and dismissed it as marketting hype which didn't influence my decision to get the phone, but it is very impressive.
