Remember folks - tickets on sale from today.

The site has ground to a halt just now (lunchtime I guess) but Steph has our name down for some Cat 1 tickets for the cycling and the track & field at Hampden.

Fingers crossed.

Cheers,

I'll sort it out sometime next week when I get home.

Still got the same amount of chance getting tickets if I apply on the last day than on the first day.

Yeah, applications made on the first day have an equal chance to those made on the last.

I was, however, working on the basis that if I don't do it now, I'll keep putting it off and then likely miss the closing date ... I'm a bit useless that way.

Cheers,

Rugby 7s, I think we put in for the quarter-finals as there would be less demand. Missed out on closing ceremony and cycling.

C'est la vie.

Got tickets to the athletics 200m finals night.

Missed out on cycling, rugby 7s and the closing ceremony. Almost a bit relived as I had applied for £260 worth of tickets.

I got Rugby 7's for Sunday both times. Over the moon.

Got sweet F-All. Only apply for athletics a couple of days. Didn't want to apply for too much just in case I was successful with them all.

We went for 100m Final, 200m Final and Gymnatics early and evening. All top price tickets. Only got the early gymnatics frown. I'd rather have had none.

I guess I'll need to pay for them, then resell through the Commonwealth website.

Without coming across as sour grapes, I hope you get slapped with a hefty charge for doing it - why apply for things you don't want?

We wanted to make a week of it. We will be slapped with a hefty charge - £84.50. It would be worth the hotels and travel for a week, but not for an afternoon. I'm sure someone will want the tickets. I'd be more than happy to get close to getting the money back, but if I don't - so what, the money was spent when I clicked the submit button. It wouldn't be the first time I've bought a ticket and not used it because it would cost too much to go (either time, money or convenience).

I applied for 2 sessions of cycling and 1 of swimming. We got 1 of each. Why did they insist you'd get all or nothing of your application then everybody appears to have got part of their application?

Presumably that changed for oversubscribed events. They did announce that in those cases it would be a random draw. I guess you got lucky, getting 2/3 of your application. We got 1/3 of ours, but it was the event that my wife and I both wanted to go to and that we thought would have enough going on to keep the kids attention, so we're happy with that.
